“I’m looking for Rett T’Rul. Do you know where he is?”

“He’s in the dining hall,” the male said. “Take the stairs up to the next deck. You’ll find him there.”

  “Thank you.”

Georgie followed the male’s directions. He walked down the corridor and jogged up the stairs, taking two at a time. When he reached the dining hall, Georgie paused. He stood up on his tiptoes and looked around, searching for Rett among the large crowd of Glecerian males, all pressed close together within the space.

  “Hey, Georgie.”

When he heard his name, Georgie jerked his head to the side. Sitting at one of the nearby tables were Grant Byers, Howard Turner, Bryson Garrett, and a few other humans he didn’t know by name.

  “Hi.” He waved awkwardly.

“Why don’t you come and join us?” Grant asked.

“Uh…” Georgie looked around, hoping to spot Rett, but he couldn’t find the other male. “Sure, I guess.”

Georgie walked over. He took the empty seat across from Grant.

“Here,” Grant pushed his tray toward Georgie. “I grabbed an extra plate of food so that I wouldn’t need to make a second trip through the buffet line. Help yourself.”

  “Oh, uh, thanks.”

Georgie grabbed a clean utensil from a container in the center of the table. He didn’t think twice as he dug in, shoveling food into his mouth. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d eaten. His stomach growled and gurgled, churning with each bite.

“It looks like you found a mate,” Grant said.

  “Yeah.” He nodded.

Grant smiled. “That’s great. I guess that means you won’t be staying in Sweshan with the rest of us. Congratulations.”

  “Thanks.”

Grant paused for a moment as if to study Georgie closer before asking, “Are you okay?”

“I’m sorry about Eric and Dennis. I know they were your friends.”

“Don’t worry about it.” He waved off Georgie’s concern. “They’ll be fine in Noglion.”

“How can you say that?” Georgie asked, his brows drawn together in confusion. “They would be here now if it wasn’t for me.”

He expected Grant and the others to blame him. After all, it was his fault that Dennis and Eric weren’t traveling to Sweshan with the rest of the group.

“We all volunteered,” Grant said. “When I sighed up, I knew there was a chance that I wouldn’t be staying on Glecerus. As long as my family is taken care of on Earth, I won’t complain.”

“We all made sacrifices to be here,” Howard added.

  “Life goes on,” Bryson muttered.

They fell into an uncomfortable silence, and Georgie resumed eating. He glanced around every couple of minutes searching for Rett, but he was unable to locate the Glecerian male from his seated position. When he was finished, Georgie grabbed his empty plate and started to rise.

“Can I have your attention?” a loud voice rang out. The male paused for a moment, and the conversations within the dining hall stopped. “For those of you I haven’t met, I’m Weapons Commander Thrudr Urak. We left Glecerian airspace a few hours ago, which means we have also left the safety of our planet. Our starship is being escorted by a Glecerian destroyer. The destroyer will remain close until we reach Sweshan airspace. We don’t anticipate any trouble, but we don’t want to be unprepared if we come across enemy ships.”

Nobody spoke, but Georgie could feel the tension grow around him. The other humans looked around. Each one appeared scared.

“We will have a practice evacuation drill in a little while, overseen by myself and other members of the crew. Since we only have ten humans on this trip, you will each be paired with a Glecerian male and learn what to do if this ship comes under attack, and you will be given direction on how to use the escape pods.”

“Already taken care of,” Georgie muttered to himself.

“What are the chances that we’ll be attacked?” someone asked.

Commander Thrudr Urak shook his head. “We’ve never had any problems during our travels to Sweshan. We don’t have many enemies. We preform evacuation drills on each trip as a precaution.”

Georgie nodded in agreement. It made sense especially since he’d activated an emergency pod without realizing what he was doing.

“An alarm will sound shortly. When that happens, you will be escorted to the lower deck. Listen to what your escort has to say and follow directions.”

When he was done talking, Georgie stood up. “I’ll see you guys later.” He grabbed his plate and dropped it into a nearby bin.

Georgie strode through the dining hall with purpose, searching for Rett. He wound his way through the crowd and soon found the male. Rett was wearing a serious face as he spoke in hushed tones to a small group of Glecerians. When he spotted Georgie, his expression changed, and he smiled.

  “Did you eat?” he asked.

  Georgie nodded. “Yeah.”

Rett held out his hand in offering, and Georgie took it without thought. “If you’ll excuse us,” he murmured to the other males before leading Georgie away from the group and out of the dining hall.

“What’s going on?” Georgie looked at Rett, searching the male’s face, trying to figure out what was happening. “Are we in danger? Are we going to be attacked?”

“There’s an enemy ship in the area.”

“So, the practice drill…” Georgie started.

“It’s just a precaution. We don’t think the Slion people will attack, but we’ve got a Glecerian destroyer sticking close just in case.”

“Have they ever attacked during one of these trips before?”

Rett shook his head. “No. They know our forces are stronger than theirs. But with humans aboard, we need to be careful.”

Fear of the unknown chilled Georgie’s heart. The organ slammed against his chest, leaving Georgie to feel lightheaded. He didn’t know anything about Slion or its people. That information hadn’t been provided in the manual he’d received when he volunteered.

“I don’t want you to be scared.” Rett dropped Georgie’s hand and wrapped his arm around his waist, holding him close. “Nothing is going to happen to you. I promise.”

Georgie wanted to believe him. He wanted to trust Rett’s words, but the fear inside wouldn’t go away. It was the same terrifying feelings he’d had before. Suddenly, without warning, Georgie was catapulted back to his time on Earth.

The Great War had been devastating. Nations brutally attacked each other, using every piece of weaponry in their arsenals to cause the maximum amount of destruction. Millions of lives were lost. Since then, each day was a struggle. Food, water, and other basic necessities were in short supply. Georgie hadn’t witnessed the war, but he’d seen the effects. The only reason Georgie had lived was because he was found and taken to an orphanage.

A strong pair of muscular arms wrapped around Georgie’s waist, and he was enveloped in warmth. “Georgie.” A familiar voice pulled him back from his memories. It was Rett. “It’s okay.” He gently rocked Georgie, swaying back and forth.

Georgie opened his eyes. Everything was blurry. Lifting a hand, he wiped his face. He didn’t even realize that he’d been crying.

“Nobody is going to hurt you.”

Georgie took a deep breath, slowly blowing it out through his mouth. He stood within Rett’s strong arms, accepting the comfort. After a couple of minutes, he stepped back, feeling more like himself.

Rett reluctantly dropped his arms. “Are you okay?”

  Georgie nodded. “Yeah, I’m fine.”

An alarm sounded, blaring loudly, and red lights flashed. Georgie’s eyes widened, and his mouth opened in surprise. “This is a drill.” A voice rang out through several speakers. “This is a drill.”

Rett took Georgie’s hand and gave a gentle tug, pulling Georgie toward the stairs. Most of the Glecerians they passed stood back against the corridor walls. The only ones moving were the males that guided humans down the stairs towa
rd the lower deck. When they reached their destination, the alarms stopped ringing.

“As you know, this is an emergency pod.” Rett gave him a stern look and Georgie sealed his lips shut, refusing to laugh. Rett ran his hand down the length of the pod, and the top opened. “You can get inside. It’s been deactivated for this exercise.”

Georgie climbed in and sat down on the soft bedding.

“If you hear the alarm, you will make your way down here. You’ll climb inside the pod and lie down. At that point, the pod will be activated. The top will close and lock you securely inside. When it leaves the starship, an emergency signal will go out to all available Glecerian ships and our allies. There is a beacon on each pod so you will be found without any trouble. The pod’s internal computer will automatically set a course to Glecerus.”

Georgie nodded his head in understanding, following each word.

“If you’re inside for a prolonged period of time, there is water,” Rett opened a side compartment and pulled out a plastic straw. “All you need to do is put this in your mouth and drink.” He closed the compartment. “There are also food rations and nutrient bars aboard each pod.” He opened different compartments, showing Georgie where everything was located. “And a first aid kit.”

“If I get stuck inside the pod, how much air will I have?”

“If you relax and breathe normally, you’ll be fine. If you freak out, the onboard computer will most likely adjust the oxygen level to conserve breathable air. It might make you feel light-headed, but you won’t suffocate. Worst-case scenario, you’ll pass out. But like I said before, I don’t think we’ll have any problems.”

  “Okay.”

  “Do you have any questions?”

“The beacon…is that how you were able to find me so fast?”

Rett nodded. “We knew exactly where you were the whole time and followed the tracking beacon to the Noglion ship.”

Georgie exhaled, pushing the air from his lungs. Knowing that Rett was able to locate the pod quickly gave Georgie a sense of peace. He wouldn’t end up out in space scared and alone for too long. If the worst happened, he would be prepared.

“Do you want to ask me anything else?”

“Can we go back to your quarters? I’d like to take a shower and get some clean clothes.”

  Rett smiled. “Sure, let’s go.”

Rett held out his hand, and Georgie took it. The male helped him out of the pod. When his feet were both planted on the floor once more, they walked back up the stairs toward Rett’s quarters.

  Chapter Eight

When he reached the bathroom inside of Rett’s quarters, Georgie stripped off his clothing, dropping the articles to the ground. Now that his belly was full and the practice drill was over, Georgie was in desperate need of a hot shower. He stepped into the stall, moving to the center of the enclosure. The water automatically turned on, the heavy downpour raining down over his head, peppering his skin. Georgie sighed. He closed his eyes and lifted his face.

“Do you mind if I join you?”

Georgie glanced over his shoulder and took in Rett’s naked form standing outside the stall. He felt a ripple of excitement, and his heart jolted, pounding rapidly. Georgie’s gaze wandered up and down the male’s body and he found himself nodding his consent.

Rett’s lips twitched, a smile teasing the corner of his mouth. He stepped into the shower, his large frame taking up most of the stall, crowding Georgie. He cupped Georgie’s face with his hands, holding him as if he were delicate. Rett leaned down. He moved slowly, giving Georgie plenty of time to turn away. Georgie lifted himself up onto his tiptoes and connected their lips. The kiss started slow, their tongues exploring, swirling and touching, but soon the kiss turned wild and raw. With their bodies pressed together, Georgie clung to Rett, letting the male control the kiss.

When Rett pulled back, Georgie was panting. “Why—” he gasped. “Why did you stop?”

Rett spun Georgie around so that he was facing the stone wall. Before he could say another word, Rett grabbed Georgie’s hands and lifted them up, placing them on the wall.

  “Don’t move,” he ordered.

Georgie opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat when Rett wiped a thick layer of slick over his hole. Georgie spread his legs and pushed his hips back, silently giving his approval. Rett pressed his chest against Georgie’s back as he pushed a thick digit into Georgie’s hole.

  “Ah.” Georgie groaned.

At this angle, inside the shower stall, Georgie could see the mirror above the sink. His gaze was instantly drawn to Rett. He watched the male closely, staring intently at his face. Rett leaned his head down and placed a trail of open-mouthed kisses along Georgie’s shoulder. Georgie moaned. He turned his head, missing Rett’s lips against his own. Rett grinned, seeming to understand Georgie’s desire, and reclaimed Georgie’s lips in another searing kiss.

Rett added another finger. He moved his digits in and out, preparing Georgie’s hole. When two fingers turned to three, Georgie started moving his hips, impaling himself. He needed more, so much more. The fingers suddenly disappeared. Rett maintained the connection with their mouths as the head of his hard shaft slid into Georgie’s ass.

Rett’s entry was rough. He pushed his length deep inside Georgie’s body, burying his hard cock. It was exactly what Georgie needed. More than anything, he wanted to feel owned and desired. He didn’t feel any pain, only a slight burn as his body stretched to accommodate Rett’s girth. Rett’s hands clasped tightly on Georgie’s hips, digging his fingertips into Georgie’s flesh. He gave a few shallow thrusts, moving slowly, before picking up the pace.

He didn’t hold back. Rett rammed into Georgie, his movements becoming forceful. Georgie moaned with each thrust.

“Mmm,” Rett groaned. “You feel so good.”

Georgie gasped. He wanted to tell Rett how wonderful he felt, but he couldn’t form the words. He was feeling far too much.

Rett pressed him flat against the cool stone wall as he powered into him. His teeth scraped against Georgie’s shoulder, gently biting down as if to mark his territory. Rett was wild and animalistic, forcing Georgie to surrender. With his control gone, Georgie let go of everything. He focused on the sound of Rett’s breathing, the feel of the weight of his body, the sensation of pleasure running through his system, and the orgasm building deep inside his balls.

When Rett’s arm wrapped around his waist to keep him from slamming against the rock wall, Georgie’s body went lax. He let Rett hold him close. And when Rett ordered him to come, Georgie’s body instantly responded. He cried out in pleasure, shouting the male’s name, as his seed exploded from his body.

Georgie knew the exact moment Rett found his own release. The male’s body went rigid right before he bellowed, “Georgie!”

He could feel Rett’s release as strong jets of spunk filled him. Rett’s fingertips dug into Georgie’s hips. He drove into Georgie’s body again and again. Georgie opened his eyes and caught Rett’s reflection in the mirror. In the throes of passion, Rett looked incredibly beautiful—eyes closed, mouth open, face twisted.

The male wrapped both of his arms around Georgie’s waist and held him as the water ran down over them. After several minutes, Rett released Georgie and stepped back enough to pull his length free.

  “You’re incredible.”

Georgie turned around to face Rett. He looked up at the big male and smiled. At this moment, he wanted to return the compliment. He wanted to tell Rett how wonderful he was. But he couldn’t. His mind wondered, pulling up an image of Lund. This whole situation was confusing. Rett and Lund, brothers who were both claiming him.

  “Thank you.”

Rett made a face. “Are you okay?”

Georgie nodded, even though it wasn’t completely true. He wanted to stay angry with Rett. He wanted to hold on to those feelings. Rett took him away from Glecerus and Lund. The male had knocked him out and forced Georgie aboard the starship. Bu
t he couldn’t find the anger. His heart no longer contained any animosity toward Rett. Those feelings were gone, which made things difficult because he still had feelings for Lund.

What the hell am I going to do?

Rett didn’t look convinced. “Are you sure?”

  “Yeah,” Georgie said. “I’m fine.”

Rett placed his hand beneath the metal soap tube, and a large dollop of foamed filled his hand. He put his hands together before touching Georgie. He rubbed his hands across Georgie’s chest and down his abdomen. Rett’s hands gently massaged Georgie’s skin as he washed him thoroughly. He filled his hand with more soap before dropping to his knees in front of Georgie. He started at Georgie’s feet and moved his strong, capable hands up. Rett took his time, covering every single inch of Georgie’s skin.

Georgie didn’t move. He stood frozen, his feet planted on the floor, as he watched Rett. The Glecerian male moved around him, caring for Georgie with soft touches and gentle kisses.

Rett rose to his feet. “You’re all clean.”

  Georgie smiled. “Thanks.”

“I hope you had a pleasurable shower experience.”

He chuckled lightly. “This was the best shower I’ve ever had.”

Rett looked extremely pleased with Georgie’s words. He smiled broadly and shot Georgie an awkward wink as he stepped out of the shower. Georgie started laughing. He couldn’t help it. Seeing Rett wink was almost too much. He looked slightly demented with the side of his face scrunching up.

Rett grabbed a couple of towels from a nearby shelf. Georgie stepped out from under the spray, and the water automatically stopped. Rett handed him a towel, and Georgie took it. He started drying off, removing all the moisture from his skin.

When he twisted to throw the towel over his back, a violent cramp tore through Georgie’s stomach, tearing at his guts. He doubled over in pain and pressed his palm against his belly. Georgie took a few deep breaths through his mouth, hoping the cramps would subside. Bile rose to his throat, and his mouth filled with an excessive amount of saliva. He knew what was coming. Georgie ran past Rett to the toilet. He dropped down onto his knees and threw up, emptying the contents of his stomach. He knelt there, heaving.
